This Sunday, December 18th from 10AM-noon, CTOWN is hosting Twas The TWOD Before Christmas.

The TWOD, or traveling WOD, started as a chance for a (small) group of area CrossFit athletes to travel to various gyms and train together, pushing the envelope, and preparing for competition. The workouts were supposed to be competition-level, demanding and unique. Each week, the small group grew and workouts varied from gym to gym; all providing different levels and challenges.

The end of 2011 draws near with only two more traveling WODs before the 2012 CrossFit Open begins…

On Saturday evening, I will post the workouts for Sunday’s event on our Facebook page. With such a large group of attendees already registered, we will need to move swiftly to complete each workout. There will be two workouts, so everyone’s cooperation is required for a FUN and successful event. Please arrive EARLY to get warm and ready, as the workouts will begin promptly.

Been Too Long

First, let me apologize about the lack of updates on our website and Facebook. Not good on my part. Thankfully, I have someone who holds me accountable and called me on it. I promise to do and be better. Just know, while I might not be the social media guru (just yet), I spend my time becoming the best coach I can be, and believe most of you experience just that every day you train with me. So, from now on — more updates, more often.

This is gonna be a quick update. I’m doing something I don’t normally do — posting the next day’s workout. Why now? Well, tomorrow’s session is gonna be EPIC! I was lucky enough to watch live, in-person as Mikko Salo crushed this workout in route to becoming the 2009 CrossFit Games Champion! Make sure you sign-up for a class today. In The Beginning

Our first blog post. Wow. I can’t believe it has only been a month since we first opened the doors at 1776 Columbus Road. The Filthy Fifty was our first “official” workout, knocked out some of the CrossFit OG benchmark workouts, completed our first Rookie Camp, and finished our initial weeks of conditioning. Now, we have started into the core of our strength & peak conditioning program; all while more and more athletes come visit and get a taste of strong — CTOWN style. I’m freakin’ excited! Are you?

We will begin to use our site, as well as our Facebook page, more and more frequently. Make sure you stay posted on events, happenings, and all things CTOWN. We promise we will not disappoint.
